A rabbit hole of real resources for curious folks doing life differently.
Curious Burrow started because finding non-mainstream lifestyle resources options in Singapore felt like asking a question nobody wanted to answer. There’s a whole world of homeschool co-ops, forest schools, enrichment programs, support groups, and conscious living interest groups out there, but they’re scattered across Facebook groups, word-of-mouth, and outdated PDFs. I wanted one place to find them.
So I built it. It’s a resource directory for families in Singapore who are stepping off the conveyor belt — whether that’s homeschooling, unschooling, or just looking for something that fits their kid better than the standard path. You filter by category, type, and location, scroll through cards, save your favorites, and if something’s missing, you can suggest it directly.
Under the hood it’s a WordPress backend serving data through its REST API, and a vanilla JS front-end that pulls it all together. No React, no build step, no framework overhead — just a single HTML file that does its job and gets out of the way. The whole thing is also a PWA, so it installs cleanly on mobile and feels like a native app.
It’s a small project, but it’s the kind of thing I actually use. And that felt like reason enough to build it properly.
